Performance for a conscious audience.
Normally I'm unconscious while watching a good show. Not in a medical or Freudian sense—in the sense that I do not think about where I am or where I look. My eyes are slaves to the plan of the director and the light designer, I see what they want me to see, look where they want me to.
Not so during the performance of Barbara. A live camera was projected on the screen and there was action at least two places on stage most of the time. I really had to stay 'awake' and look around to see most of the action. This was not a side effect of the camera, the non-camera part of the performance was designed in the same way.
I think I prefer slipping into unconsciousness in the audience. This was a worthwhile experiment, and maybe it's too early to be negative, but so far, I am. That said, they were really good at dancing with the camera. Once, with the camera on the floor, some heads were cut off, that's about it.
(But why was the contrast deliberately killed by projecting extra light on the screen?)

Open(?) Mobile Alliance
Open Mobile Alliance requires a paid membership to access most of their technical documentation.
Yes, I know there is a difference between open and free.
But WAP is sinking - trying to keep the documentation secret, surely doesn't help.

Phishy Apple
Downloading Quicktime from Apple.com redirects me to some subdomain of edgesuite.net. Www.edgesuite.net does not exist, edgesuite.net does not have an IP. It is owned by Akamai - is that supposed to be good enough for me to open the firewall?
Apple downloads should come from the apple.com domain - anything else smells too phishy.

Xerox committed to PDF/A ?
Googling for Xerox and PDF/A (archive safe PDF) I found XML or PDF-A for archiving ?
But is Xerox committed to PDF/A? I do have one PDF from a Xerox scanner, failing with Header is not followed by four byte sequence with values greater 127.

Street legal
Legal parking. But blocking the only road access to Tinganes, the historic part of Tórshavn with the prime minister's offices. A fire engine could probably crash through, but not an ambulance.
Almost makes me miss the tow truck mafia back in Oslo. But I'm not sure they'd dare touch this one - after all, it is legally parked.
